Roses in the Ocean’s Suicide Prevention Peer Worker Hub is a lived experience-led innovation designed to embody the concept of collective care, acknowledging that the emotional well-being of its members is a shared responsibility rather than an individual burden. This poster will visually represent how peer workers are using this new online resource to connect and cultivate a sense of collective care through the following key elements:

Sharing Experiences:

Peer workers share their personal journeys, challenges, and successes in a deeply impactful manner, with this sharing fostering connection, compassion, empathy, understanding, and a sense of solidarity among the suicide prevention peer workforce.

Knowledge Exchange:

The Hub facilitates informed discussions and knowledge exchange through various channels such as blogs, forums, and posts, depicting the diverse ways in which peer workers engage in thoughtful conversations, share valuable insights, and contribute to the collective learning of the suicide prevention community.

Creating a Supportive Space:

For peer workers operating in isolation, the Hub becomes a vital space for connection, conveying the importance of this support network, and how it enables peer workers to confront challenges, and build a sense of camaraderie within their challenging roles.

Resilience and Connectivity:

By fostering connections and providing a platform for shared experiences, the Suicide Prevention Peer Worker Hub aims to contribute to building a more resilient and connected suicide prevention peer workforce and sector, emphasising the strength that comes from shared purpose and mutual support.

This poster aims to contribute to the conference's goal of accelerating impact by showcasing a genuine and practical approach to collective care within the suicide prevention community, providing an authentic representation of the Hub's impact on the real experiences of those involved.
