Neeka NZ Zand
Neeka is passionate about strengthening communities by ensuring equitable access to appropriate well-being support for all. She has a background in Psychology and Business, was a Scholarship recipient of the Centre of Social Impact UWA 2021 Graduate Certificate in Social Impact, and was awarded the 2023 WA Young Achiever Connecting Communities Award Winner. For over a decade now, Neeka has been in the Social Justice and Mental Health field with organisations such as Amnesty International, Multicultural Youth Advocacy Network, Ignite Mentoring, and St Vincent de Paul. She's also had the opportunity to lead innovative multiple co-design projects in the WA mental health space, such as the Perth Metro Aftercare Project, Cultural Conversations, Co-Designing Futures, Accessing NDIS: Psychosocial and Right By You. She currently works as a Suicide Prevention Coordinator at Neami National and also sits as the Youth Advocate on the Mental Health Commission's Multicultural Committee where she continues to advocate for marginalised and unrepresented societal groups’ voices to be heard in our WA mental health sector.
